In this age of hypersensitivity regarding the proper way to celebrate — or eliminate — Christmas in America, it’s nice to see that some folks still have a sense of humor about things. For example, how did the Discovery Channel celebrate Christmas? With a marathon of Walking with dinosaurs, Walking with prehistoric beasts, and The rise of man. Yes, nothing says “behold the miracle of baby Jesus’ birth” better than twelve hours devoted to the science of man’s evolution from prehistoric sludge to hairless monkeys.
