Getting to know you

This semester, one of the first assignments I had my students do was something called “Getting to know you,” in which they submitted podcasts (made with Jing, which is an awesome program if you haven’t already heard about it) that let me know something about themselves.   The assignment is ostensibly designed to familiarize them with the software, but it also gives me a chance to associate names and faces and personalities a bit better earlier on.

Some of my students included some bits of math/science/engineering humor that I found particularly amusing, and so I thought I would share.
