March 2006

Travis’ grandmother, Dorothy Sutter, is about to be a Great-Grandmother (well actually, she already is for some of her other grand-children, but this is a first for us!). Today we received some great fabric and wishes from her. We especially adore the shamrocks since they honor her Irish heritage (and Bailey’s too!). Thanks Grandma Sutter!

A very good friend of the Franz family sent some gorgeous fabric for the baby’s quilt. Chris Gregg is a dear friend from the San Diego area whom we have known for over 15 years. Thank you Chris, the fabric and wish are beautiful, and mean a lot to us.

I received a lovely square and wish today from one of the ladies at work. Audrey is no stranger to international adoption, having adopted her daughter many years ago from Columbia. Thanks Audrey, your poem and kind words mean a lot to us.

The mail today was bursting with wishes and squares. Patty and Bruce Schuler, Travis’ parents from California, sent our little one some wonderful fabric and wishes. The fabric is beautiful, and I cannot wait to include them into the quilt. Thank you!

Since Saturday, we have received 6 more squares! One from a very dear friend of Bailey’s from college. Just love it! The other squares are from Bailey’s sister and family. Of great interest are the squares from our niece, Sara. She is just 4 1/2 years old, and her fabric and wishes show her age. Her priorities are for Dora the Explorer, and toys. Too cute. The wishes and squares are just adorable. Check them out if you get a chance.
