Single digit numbers, oh how I love those single digit numbers! I am so excited that we inching our way closer to the date of our departure. I received the itinerary for our trip in China, and reading through it just gets me even more excited about travelling over there. We will stay in Beijing for a few days, do some sightseeing in places like the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace, and other historical places. We then fly to the baby’s province the morning of the 13th. Sometime after we arrive, Liliana should be placed in our arms. We will stay in the province until the 17th. We then head out to Guangzhou where we will stay until the 22nd. This is going to be a great trip! However, we still have a bazillion (yes, that’s a real number!) things to do around here. So, I better get going and do more “stuff.”
Dearest Liliana,
I had a dream about you last night. Your daddy and I were in China, waiting to meet you. We were so excited to finally see you in person that tears were coming down my face. We waited for you in our hotel room, hoping for a phone call telling us to meet you down in the lobby or some other special place. We were totally surprised though when there was a knock at the door, and there you were. You were brought to our room in the hotel. When you were handed to me, I started crying. You just looked up at me rather inquisitively, and then placed your head near my heart. It was a very special moment. I am sure that when we first meet, it will be nothing like my dream, and that is okay. It just calms my heart to know that we will be united very soon. ~Love Always, Mommy…
